School Lunches

At my school we bring our own lunch to school. When it is lunch time we eat outside or at our desks. Two days a week we can have a thing called tuck - shop. Instead of lining up and get served we get a brown paper bag and we wright our name,class,big lunch or little lunch and we put what we want on it and how much it will be then we put money inside. Then we put the paper bags into the tuckshop box and someone takes it down to the tuckshop Lady's. On the other days we bring our own food in a lunchbox and some of the things we bring are biscuits,sandwich's,juice box,little lollies,fruit,cake,cold pizza,pancakes or salad. If it is something that needs to be refrigerated we use ice bricks. My favouritest food that I have in my lunchbox is my roll that my dad makes me in the morning really early.

Monday the 15th of October 2007.

This year grades five and six gets to go on camp for three days. On that same week grades 5 and 6 only has to go to school and do work for one day and that is Tuesday!!! The teachers that are going are 'Mr.B, Mrs.A, Mrs.M and Mrs.B and all those teachers are really good for the job because they are all really active and out there. Everyone is really excited even the teachers!!

The Floods

I really enjoy reading the floods series and there is now FIVE books in the series and they are called The Floods 1 neighbours, 2 Play School, 3 Home and Away, 4 Survivor and the one that came out not that long ago is THE FLOODS 5 PRIME SUSPECTS. I have the whole floods series 1, 2, 3, 4 and 5. There is probably one more in the series and that might be called 'The Floods Family File' and I can't wait until that comes out because I am half way through the 5Th book and that is really bad but good. I am really excited about the rest of the series. The authors name is Colin Thompson.

On the second last week of term three an artist came to our school and she does silk painting and it looks really complicated because you do a gold out line first then she gets her water paints and goes and she does heaps of good things and it turns out to be really good. She even has her web-page all about her art!! That day was really good and fun day.

Today everyone at my school gets to dress up to raise money for our library teacher to make a library over in Africa for a school. Our library teacher will be going to africa fo a year and that is really bad and sad aswell. Also today our school raised $500 dollars and we all hope that that will be enough to make a library for the school in africa. If any of us wanted to dress up as someone from a book we could but we still had to bring in a gold coin in. Today was really fun and there was a buzz all round the school.

'The Witch In The Lake'

So far I have met 7 - 10 characters and Laura has died from the black death and the last person to see her was Marco, and he is Leo's father and the place were Marco last saw Laura was down on the very edge of the lake. Leo's family generation are wizards. Leo's and his great grandfatherIlluminato had the twin signs of wizadry and they are silver hair and something to do with the eyes. Marco leo's father has taught as much magic as he nows to Leo. I would like to find out if the witch is true or not because I'm up to page 56 and all it has said is that it is only a myth. If I was in the story I would like to play the character if Leo because he is a strong wizard and he is trying to find out if the witch is true or if it is a myth. I have some favourite sayings from the book and this is what they are:

'Don't go near the lake, she waits there, under the water... when the sky is dark and the moon is full, the witch will come creeping.'

'The witch will get you look out, look out, snakes in her hair and eels on her chin, look now and see what trouble your in.'

'One, two, three, four who is knocking on your door is the the docter with his bill, or is it the witch come to make you ill.'

'Hemlock, mandrake, seed of fire, bring black death a funeral pyre. Mugwort, nightshade, the devils eye, drink my brew, scum, choke and die.

Lately I have been reading 'you wish'. It is all about this boy called Benjamen and he is in an orphange because his parents died in a car crash.The chef and the headmaster always try to find ways to punish him like not wanting to have seconds and things like that and the type of punishment is anything really mean like scrubbing out massive metal pots that was used for meals and usually there is around five of these, not just the one. I am really glad that I'm not in Benjamens shoes.

Every Friday afternoon year five, six and sevens go into the year six's class room and we sow teady bears, nit happeness pillows, make gods eyes and we draw pictures but we don't colour them in and all these things go to the hospital to help sick children in need of a laugh.our group name is mini vinnies because we are children

Mrs J has been reading us dragon keeper and the two main characters are Ping and Danzi and he is a dragon! The first emperor has died from a dragon pikkle and the emperors son is fifteen and he is the new and improved emperor. Ping was given a gown from the emperor and it almost looked like the emperors in my mind.

Mrs J gave us a 10cent coin and we had to flip it 100 times and record for if it is heads or tails but we had to go in pairs and we got to choose how we recorded it ot was really fun but it took ages to do!

Lately I have been reading dragonsdale. So far in dragonsdale there is a girl called Cara and there is also another girl called Breena and they both clean up the dragons pits and there are heaps of them. So far I have met two dragons and the one that Cara spends most her time with is Skydancer and she has to teach a boy called Drane and he is scared of dragons and he does not know any types of speces of dragons. Cara tells Drane to go scratch Breezeskimmer and Breezescimmer is the other dragon that I found out about. Drane is sort of really stupid because Cara told him to get out of the cave pit thing but he didn't and Breezescimmer breathed a stream of fire and Drane nearly got burnt and died but thankfully he ducked the stream of fire and servived the fire. I am really enjoying this book and i am definatly going to finish this book!=)

antarctica acrostic poem

A Place were hardly anyone visits!

No one ever gets warm (because there is so much ice).

Too cold to live there.

Antarctica is protected and looks very beautiful.

Rainders don't live there.

Coco is very yummy and it helps to keep warm.

Totaly freezing.

If people keep on killing wild life there won't be any animals left!

Cold and dry on top of the ice.

Always has beautiful scenery.

In writing block we get to write story's which is really fun to do. My teacher gets to choose if she gives us part of a story or we get to start it from the begining ourself. I really like to make short storys in my spare time at school or at home. Lately I haven't been able to write many storys which is a shame because I love to make short storys. In school we haven't been doing many storys at all but I hope that we get time in school to write more storys.!

In maths we got a cup and DJ(our teacher) got a hammering type nail and dug it into a dozen or so plastic cups.Then we got a medicine, measuring cups. We got onto groups of two or three and one person gets the plastic cup and fills it up with water and then holds it over the mearsuring cup and the lets it drip for five seconds and then puts one of there fingers over the hole to stop the water dripping. We did that for a minute and some people got water all over them!

Hi my name is Georgiana,

I go to a school in Queensland/Australia. I love all animals but my most favourite animals are 'dragons, turtles,horses and all types of monkeys.I have many extraordinary friends at school. I really love reading books espiacally thick books and I will never stop reading them. In my spare time I like to hang out with my friends but on weekends I mainly spend my time with Eden and Keirilyn.

This year our class is reading 'Dragon keeper' and we have almost finished it and heaps has happend. I think that all of us are really enjoying it so far. I think that it is going to get even better. In reading block I really enjoy silent reading.

This year, 2007 I have done a role play and so did the rest of my class, I also did a poster on Egyptian cats in second term I also did a poster on a person that went to war and got a VC in first term. This term we are learning about Antarctica which is also really fun but challenging all at once! All the things that I have learnt have been hard but fun really fun! I would really like to find out what we are doing next year I hope it is something as equally as hard and fun!

This term my class is learning Antarctica. We learn things from our class mates because some people know more things on one thing than another person might.Learning about antartica is sort of fun because you get to learn more things.People only go to visit antartica because it is so cold and coverd in snow and ice.I would never like to live there but I would want to visit antartica.
